Full Job Description:

Do you love raising chickens, guinea fowl, quail or other amazing poultry? Do you like helping people? If yes to both, then this job is for you! We are looking to grow our team with farm-educated individuals who share our energy and enthusiasm for creating the best customer experience. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong sales and customer service background. You must be able to speak to our customers about raising chicks and how to care for them. You will also be responsible for helping customers by providing product and service information, resolving technical issues, and processing orders. Weekend work is a requirement and may vary by season. This position is completely remote and requires a few travel days per year for the whole team to get together for poultry related events. Schedule can and may be adjusted to any of the following, depending on the season: Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday, or Tuesday through Saturday. There will be a sales dynamic to this role - what’s more fun than selling your lifestyle! Hatching Time will supply a laptop and any other equipment necessary.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer inquiries via phone, text, chat and email in a timely manner.
  • Become a product expert to help new backyard farmers & loyal customers.
  • Provide detailed information about our vast line of products and services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and/or concerns.
  • Document and update customer records based on interactions.
  • Generate leads for individuals and organizations/companies that would be interested in our products.
  • Occasionally attend fairs, expos, and shows with the whole team!

 

Requirements:

  • Must have experience incubating poultry.
  • Must have experience raising chickens, game birds and/or other poultry.
  • Must be willing to work weekends.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and execute.
  • Positive and professional demeanor.
  • Disciplined and able to work independently.
  • Background check and paid training program required.

 

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields
  • Experience with CRM ticketing systems (We use Zendesk)

 

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

 

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
