Frequently Asked Questions

What does the partridge/pheasant processing cone include, and what is sold separately?

Each pack contains one cone per unit ordered. The cone does not include a hanger or stand. If you need a way to mount the cone, Hatching Time sells a compatible hanger separately.

What size is the partridge/pheasant killing cone?

The cone measures 7.5 inches in diameter at the top, 2.2 inches at the bottom, and 9.5 inches in height. It is larger than the quail cone and sized specifically for partridge and pheasant. It is not the same size as the chicken, quail, or turkey/goose cones.

Which pack size should I choose: 1, 3, 5, or 10 cones?

The pack size depends on how many birds you process at one time and whether you want spares on hand. All packs contain the same cone. The per-cone price decreases with larger quantities, from $14.99 for a single cone down to $12.90 per cone in the 10-pack.

Reliable and easy to maintain

I've been using this equipment for a few months and the quality is outstanding. It's durable, efficient, and makes processing my poultry much easier.

What is the proper size processing cone for Cornix quail? I understand the standard “quail” cone is too small for the larger quail.

Hatching Time

The quail cone should work fine for coturnix quail. You may want to consider the partridge cone for jumbo quail.
