The extra large plucker includes 188 natural rubber CMK4 - Turkey Plucking Fingers that spiral strategically inside the 27" food grade plastic drum to ensure every feather from wing to tail is plucked perfectly, without harm to the skin.

Works great for Turkey!

We have a rather large Turkey harvest this year, and since we love our hatching time quail cages we decided to give the plucker a try. We have done 5 Turkey so far with another 60+ to go. The plucker works great on broad breasted -- it's HUGE.
The only part that was time consuming was installing the plastic fingers. We found the best way way to soften them up in hot water before trying to pull them through the holes. Also, wear gloves ! Since the fingers are so grippy, your skin will start to feel it after a few.
Overall, very happy with our purchase.

Turkey Plucker year 2

Sorry but the quality is terrible. The first batch of turkeys last year wouldn't pluck at all. I was told to buy the larger plucker. Bought the largest one for this year. One of the the plastic panels broke during assembly when pulling the fingers through. Parched that. About 8 turkeys into processing, the plastic spinning base cracked where it slides on to the keyed metal shaft so the shaft spins and the plate doesn't. Completely useless now and had to hand pluck the rest of the turkeys. 2 pluckers over 2 years and neither made it through an entire session. Very disappointed considering I paid over $1300, had to assemble it myself, and then still had the weak plastic fail. Do NOT expect these to last long

Decent equipment for the price. It performs reliably and has good after-sales support. Would recommend to others starting out.

This does not include the time needed for preparation, such as scalding, which is essential for the machine to work properly. The total processing time will vary depending on the plucker's size and the weight of the bird. Befor3 using the plucker, the turkey must be dipped in hot water.
