Should I purchase anything extra?

Your complete cage system will come with everything you need! However, you can always purchase an extra manure tray for faster and easier clean-ups! Additionally, we do sell extra supplies for our watering systems including tanks, nipples, and water hose!

What is the difference between the Jumbo and Traditional Flooring?

If you are raising jumbo quail, it is advised that you purchase the Jumbo Quail Flooring. This is due to the fact that the holes are slightly bigger in the floor and will allow the manure to fall through much easier! The traditional flooring will work for regular sized quail. Make sure to click the on the option you need before adding to your cart!

Are these cages predator proof?

No, our cages are not predator proof. They are best placed in an enclosed shelter or an outbuilding.

Very satisfied with this product. It came in handy when I hatched a few chicks and didn’t have to use my larger brooder. I would like a model that has a pullout tray to dispose of the droppings

Where do I start

This cage seems like set up should be pretty straight forward. It is not. The fittings are not sized accurately. We had to drill a bigger hole into the watering jug in order to get the fitting into it. Also the lid doesn’t fit. And the design of the drain tube makes it so that it’s super difficult to get in and out. It should be a ball valve at the end, not a plug. I love the idea of these crates and really wanted to love the crate, but it seems like they hit the market before the prototype was perfected. For almost $100 I guess I would’ve just expected to not have to make so many modifications for it to work.

Better than I had hoped!

So before I bought the cage, I read lots of reviews about how difficult they were to put together. Me, being not very good at building, was initially worried that I would have trouble putting the cage together. Honestly, I put the thing together in probably about 10 minutes. I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone could possibly have trouble putting the cage together! So, being easy to put together is really a plus for me. I also love how everything is self-contained. I just check the water level and food level, pick up the eggs, and don't disturb the birds. This is an awesome cage! As I expand my operation, you can bet that I will be buying more!

Awful cage

Cage will only hold together with zip ties. Water container dose not stay on roof Slides. Feed tray too low for quail to eat

Great cage!

I bought 3 of these cages at first then thought, I can do better myself, and built some. Though mine were more expensive to build, harder to clean and maintain and didn't look as good as these......wait, these are way better!

Not recommended

The cage was confusing and challenging to assemble, but I finally got it. The cage itself, once assembled, isn't bad- but the watering system is terrible! I cannot assemble it at all. The spigot that is supposed to goon the bottom of the tank can't even be screwed into the tank. The hoses do not fit over the other components. The watering system is one of the main reason's I bought this cage and it is useless,

Love this mini quail cage

I ordered this off there Ebay store, I was a little worried at first, because it was plastic. However when it got delivered I was very impressed with how it was made and designed. It's very strong and is definitely a great cage. I'm a commercial quail farm and I'm definitely ordering there bigger ones. I'm very satisfied, yall have a customer 4 a long time. Thanks. I have Bob White Quail. Which bottom would be best for them in a classroom setting? In addition, do I have to buy a separate manure tray?

Hatching Time

Bob White quail are similar in size to coturnix quail. The larger jumbo floor has larger openings in the floor (1/2" x 7/8"). This cage is for adult birds, so if the size of the birds feet will work with the larger openings in the floor, then more droppings will fall thru which means less cleaning of the floor. This cage does come with a manure tray - but it attaches to the cage, so the cage has to be lifted to remove the tray.

I have bobwhite quail. Should I get the jumbo quail flooring? What are the advantages?

Hatching Time

The standard quail flooring openings are 1/2" x 1/2".
The jumbo flooring openings are 1/2" x 7/8".
The standard openings are based on coturnix quail and bobwhite quail are close in size.
The large opening in the floor allows larger droppings to fall thru.
