Description

Calling all chicken enthusiasts, backyard farmers, and bird hobbyists! Introducing our top-of-the-line Chicken Brooder, the perfect solution for raising your chicks, ducklings, goslings, and other baby birds. Our brooder is thoughtfully designed with durable PP Plastic (Polypropylene), offering a robust structure that doesn’t take up much space.

This Chicken Brooder comes with a self-regulated brooder heater, ensuring your little chicks stay warm and cozy. The heater is an upgrade from traditional brooder heat lamps, offering safer and more efficient heating. To monitor the temperature, we have included a brooder thermometer in the heater, so you can always make sure your chicks are comfortable.

Featuring a gravity-fed water system, our brooder makes it easy to keep your chicks hydrated. We’ve also thought about the feeding needs of your chicks, with chick feeders and waterers designed to fit perfectly within the brooder box.

Our Chicken Brooder box is designed with removable mats to prevent splay leg, a common issue with baby chicks. These mats can be easily removed and cleaned, ensuring a hygienic environment for your chicks.

The waste falls directly into the droppings tray below, making cleanup a breeze. Simply wash with soap and water for a clean brooding environment.

Whether you're running a large farm, a small homestead, or just raising chicks as a hobby, our Chicken Brooder is an essential tool. With features like a 20-inch self-regulated space heater instead of a brooder plate for chicks, our brooder kit offers everything you need to raise healthy chicks.

So whether you're looking for a chicken brooder, duck brooder, or all bird brooder, our product fits the bill. It's more than just a chick brooder box or a chicken coop heater; it's a comprehensive solution for raising baby birds.

Remember, happy chicks make for happy chicken owners! Invest in our Chicken Brooder today and experience the joy of raising your own chicks with ease and confidence.

Capacity

Weekly capacity is determined by your birds’ breed, required heat each week, and your brooding room’s temperature. Rearing quail or smaller game birds, we suggest using our 9.5" models.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of birds work with this unit?

This unit is best suited for larger poultry, such as chicken, goose, turkey, duck.

Can quail be raised in this larger unit?

While it is recommended that quail be raised in the 9.5" unit, this may not be possible if you are raising larger birds, such as, chickens, geese, turkeys, or ducks. Some adjustments may need to be considered, but this 15" brooder will be able to comfortably house your quail chicks!

Do the Brooders come with dividable middle walls?

No they do not. We also do not sell anything separately that can be used as a divider. Our brooders are fully open on the inside and dividers are not advised as the water source is located on one end of the cage and the chicks would not have a way to remove themselves from the heat.

Useless

We have five advanced degrees in this house and are third generation animal enthusiasts. This is by far the worst use of money I have ever had. Do not buy this. The assembly is ridiculous and the instructions are worse. I would ask for a refund but refuse to take apart the half I managed to get together…. Not because I can use it, but so I remember how dumb I can be. This company should pay me to keep it.

Sorry you feel assembly is ridiculous. You can request a return or you can see if we can help you finish assembling it. We are available at (800) 511-1369 Monday - Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Not worth the hassle

My purchase this and got it assembled and the entire left side does not fit flush necause the panel is warped. We contacted them for a replacement and after asking us about a 1000 questions and having us send a ton of pictures of the problem, they finally sent a replacement panel, and that panel is worked as well. We have resorted to using ratchet straps to hold it together to keep the side from separating. The doors also do not open easily over the feed tray and often pop off when we open them. We have also ordered the larger model (in an attempt to maybe have a better experience) but the backorder date keeps moving later and later, so I'm not sure if we will even receive it.

Falling apart

Got this thinking it would help to grow more chicks. Having to spend more time moving chicks out to boxes as we have to continue putting back together. Every day some section separates and have to move chicks out to put back together. Tonight the right side and floor separated. It sets on a table and only time it is moved is when replace the pan on the bottom. Will probably throw away and get another from another company. We also have a 2 layer 15" grow out pen and it works great.

We are sorry to hear the 2-section grow out pen is not staying together. We will reach out directly to offer assistance.

Perfect for small hathes

Works great for when we have smaller hatches. Instead of putting them in our large brooder they go in here and have the room to grow for a bit before moving to a grow out pen.

Thank you for the review and for sharing how it's perfect - The Hatching Time Team

We love it!

The only issue is the heater scorched the plastic support in the middle. We still use it but we are concerned about continuing to use it.

Good starter brooder

I like the customization offered with this unit. However moving forward, I would choose the model with the bottom tray that doesn’t require you to lift up the entire brooder to clean.

Thank you for the review, J.O. The 3-section models have a slide out bottom tray. The Hatching Time Team

Returned

Super easy to return and customer service was very nice. But honestly it was impossible with the lack of directions provided and the difficulty of getting pieces together I felt I was going break it to get pieces together

Mary, thank you for the review. Sorry you had difficulty getting the pieces together but glad it was super easy to return and customer service was very nice. The Hatching Time Team

Chick Brooder

We bought the 2 section chick brooder with high hopes that it would ease our minds and be warm enough for our chicks. The brooder proved its worth it was easy to put together stays at a warm and comfortable temp for our babies and is a great design. We have had to use it a couple times for bigger chickens when they got out in the cold temps and got a little too cold we turned a little heat on put them in and let them warm up. Great design much safer than heat lamps. We cant wait to try out the incubator next! Thanks

Thank you for the review of our Chick Brooder, Michael. We're happy to put your mind at ease. The Hatching Time Team

Overall Good

This was a little difficult to put together but that's not bad, it just means it fits together tight and won't fall apart. One thing I'm not loving is the doors. They are not very secured on and don't feel sturdy. One arrived with a broken clip/stop but hopefully that gets replaced. It is also almost impossible to open the doors because the feed trough doesn't sit flat (it came kind of curved in a slight U shape) and I have to remove the feed trough to open the doors which is not convenient. I did not get the correct assembly guide but found it online in the product support. My main complaint is the doors and that the light and heat function together. I would like the heat on 24/7 but light only during day without having to unscrew the bulb. Overall much better than my totes I've previously used.

Thank you for the feedback, Chelsea. We are working on a solution for switching for the light on the heater unit. Sorry to hear you're not loving the doors. The doors are designed to open over the feeder trough. Open the top first, then lift up as you open. The door should open over the feeder trough. Please contact us to get your replacement parts. If you need any further assistance, please contact us at (800) 511-1369 or email: support@hatchingtime.com. - The Hatching Time Team

Could be better, but I love it.

There are some things that could be improved. Temp runs a bit hot so ensure you have a thermometer and instructions not very clear (Youtube video is not made for this specific 2 section model, either).

However, the fact that it's kept 2 batches of chicks healthy with temp controlled housing is amazing. I've had chicks die from not being kept with a proper heatsource and this eliminates that happening. Definitely worth the spend.

Andrew, the video is on it's way but the unit is great for keeping your chicks at comfortable temperatures. We are glad you are enjoying it thus far! Have a great weekend. - The Hatching Time Team

Horrible!

Literally a nightmare to put together. None of the holes match up and it just breaks when being forced together. I want my damn money back. It's terrible plastic. It's garbage not even worth $5 let alone $200!

Kimberly, we do apologize for any troubles you may have encountered during assembly as the holes should line up and the plastic is very durable. Please reach out to us via phone (800) 511-1369 or email: support@hatchingtime.com and we can try to assist you better or process a return label. We want to make sure you are completely satisfied. - The Hatching Time Team

I love it!

I saw many bad reviews, bought it anyways and glad I did! It was a little hard to put together a video helped me. I did receive the package damaged so I had a lot of parts broken. Sent pictures and an email to hatching time and within a week I got all new parts. No coast no problem for me. The part replacement cost more than the original product. I do suggest if they would pack the items better less space in box they wouldn't have to replace so many items.

Nicole, we do apologize for any inconveniences. I am glad we were able to resolve the issue immediately. We are taking your feedback and sending it up the ladder! - The Hatching Time Team

15" tall chick brooder

Like it except for 2 things. The tray is a pain to clean since you have to move the brooder off it to empty. The big issue I'm having is the water system. When I fill the tank it keeps pouring in the cups over flowing and flooding the tray underneath. This causes wet chicks, big mess extra work and frustration.

Karla, thank you for the review. As we discussed through email, the water flowing over is not normal and we are sending you a new pvc pipe and cups to resolve this manufacturer defect. To make cleaning easier, most customers purchase an additional manure tray to swap out when cleaning.

So far works great. More

So far works great. More flexible plastic tubing would be nice, kinda stiff to work with. Other than that, no complaints. Thanks.

Leo, thank you for the comment! I will send this recommendation up the ladder. Best of luck to your chicks!

You can't add a section to the 2 section brooder kit. It isnt expendable.
