Should I purchase anything extra?

Your complete cage system will come with everything you need! However, you can always purchase an extra manure tray for faster and easier clean-ups! Additionally, we do sell extra supplies for our watering systems including tanks, nipples, and water hose!

What is the difference between the Jumbo and Traditional Flooring?

If you are raising jumbo quail, it is advised that you purchase the Jumbo Quail Flooring. This is due to the fact that the holes are slightly bigger in the floor and will allow the manure to fall through much easier! The traditional flooring will work for regular sized quail. Make sure to click the on the option you need before adding to your cart!

Are these cages predator proof?

No, our cages are not predator proof. They are best placed in an enclosed shelter or an outbuilding.

Wonderful start to our quail adventure

We were all egg-cited to receive the hatching time 2 section layer cage. It has not disappointed. The quality seems wonderful I’ve watched the video for assembly and believe it’ll be easy. Great Quail Cage!

Sturdy quail cages, super easy setup-lasts forever!

The colors look much better than a wire looking cage. The plastic bottom is better for my quails' feet. I am letting them as pets. I wish the cage would be taller. It suits our needs. If the bottom tray is a pull out over would be better.

Just got mine put together. The instructions are easy to follow and simple. Only tool needed was a small mallet. Again I’m really enjoying the water system and food trays.

It works

It is a great tool. I’ll get one for my chickens at a later date. Build a shed or enclosure so wild critters can’t grab them when they poke their head out to eat and you’re good. Besides the outside the cage feeder tray, I would also say the waste tray should be like a removable drawer rather than a tray the cage sits on top of to make removing waste easier. Still happy with the purchase though.

Works great for what I needed!

Overpriced for what you get

We bought this 2-section cage about a year ago and just now we finally got to it. I didn't exactly look into it a year ago.
If I knew it's plastic, I'd send it back right away! No matter how great this particular plastic is - it's still plastic.
Well. It's not great. Just with gentle tapping (using rubber mallet) - it cracked in the corner, when I tried to fit triangle pegs in. Then same thing happened on another end. Thankfully all other pieces stayed intact.
in general I like engineering part of it - it was relatively easy to put together. Besides, I struggled a bit with drinking cups - it would be easier to assemble and put the pipe and drinking cups in BEFORE you attach the walls. One more thing - it's TINY! The space rates for quails is 0.5-1sq.ft for a bird. The layer floor space is less than 3 feet - there is no way you can stuff 10-14 quails in this space unless on top of each other.
Anyway. It's a cool but expensive toy. We'll try it for a year or two, and then will build something probably, heavier, bulkier but more spacious and more reliable than this. I wouldn't invest any more in this.

Good cage

This is a good cage. I'm not the best at assembling however this was pretty easy. The bottom does fall apart when I remove the cage to clean it. This is probably due to my inability to correctly assemble the product. Otherwise 5 stars.

Great product

Just got my 2 cage quail system, and I'm super impressed with the quality. Putting it together was a breeze (except for putting the cups in, and I had to watch the video for it), pretty self explanatory. I bought the 2 cage system to test out before I order the big 5 Tier one. So far I'm please with the results, and can't wait to fully test it with my quails.

My Bf talked me into getting these, I bought the 2 section to try them out and I am fan. They make taking care if the quail way easier, and cleaner with easier clean up. Since I work full time I am most definitely a fan of the time it saves me. We will definitely get more cages and really want a Brooder. Question? When are the incubators coming?

Christina, we are glad you are enjoying the quail cage while saving time and money! The brooders are a great addition to any setup. Do know, if you purchase a 'layer' size unit, you can stack different layers together. For example, one layer can be for quail eggs and another layer, above or below, can be for brooding. The incubators will be available in the February / March timeframe! Stay tuned via email for updates.

Compact design

Its great that I can have 20 quail in the corner of my garage. I get fresh eggs every morning and sell the rest.

I am not sure if I like quail so I am interested in the double cage would they stack if I wanted more?

Hatching Time

The 2-section cages do not stack on top of each other. The 3-section cages can stack on top of each other and you can mix-n-match for different birds.

Debating on the two vs three unit setup. Question is on the two unit, does the manure pan slide out like the three unit or do you have to pick the entire unit up off the pan every time to clean it? Just wondering about the weight of it full of quail and juggling the water picking it up.

Hatching Time

The 2-section manure tray is not like the 3-section manure tray. It is attached to the 2-section cage. You do have to support the entire unit to get the tray out.
