What about caffeine? ☕🐔

Our bedding is made from spent coffee grounds, meaning the coffee has already been brewed. Independent laboratory testing found the dried grounds contained just 0.088% caffeine. Published poultry research has also studied caffeine consumption in laying hens, including diets containing 150 ppm for 12 weeks without significant effects on hen or egg production.

Coffee Ground Bedding is intended for bedding—not feed. As with any bedding material, chickens should always have access to a complete, balanced diet.
