decent design, but could use improvements

Cornish cross chickens at 5 weeks old cant get heads through door bars to eat

Doug, thank you for the review. Our standard GL40 doors are designed to fit a variety of bird species and breeds but one size may not fit all. Do know, we also carry slightly larger sized door openings with our TYK40s chicken cages. These doors can be interchanged onto our GL40 units.
