Manure Tray - Full Layer

These trays are great. Easy to clean and has raised sides.
Using this extra tray to slide in when we pull one out to clean.

The manure trays are super easy to maintain. I just dump out the manure, fill the tray with water for about 20 minutes, empty it, spray it off, and it’s ready to go back in. For anyone buying for the first time, I recommend getting a replacement tray for each layer. That way, when you pull out the dirty one, you can put a clean tray in right away. It keeps things running smoothly, and your quail below stay nice and clean.

These manure trays make keeping up with cleaning so easy... but what is easier is to get an extra1 on hand. With the recommendation from a superior hatching time customer service rep I ordered an extra, so when you slide one out, you can quickly replace with another while you empty, keeping the cages below clean . LOVE IT!!

We are into our second season of using these trays for our brooder and grow out, and they are now starting to crack. We will need to order a replacement.

I bought some extra trays to use with my brooder and breeder cages. Sturdy and very easy to clean.

I got this as a spare to replace the tray while it's being cleaned. Now I can swap for a clean tray, dump the dirty one, give it a good soak when needed, and move on to the next one!

A must have for easier cleaning, it's not fun when you pull a tray out and the birds on top are pooping on the heads of those below!

Highly recommend having at least 1 extra manure tray for cleaning ease. This helps us cut the time of cleaning down so much. We will be adding to our number of “extras” over time for sure!

I love the new trays. They are a great improvement over the old ones. The extra couple of inches makes a real difference.

The tray works well enough for chicks, but because of how shallow it is, when ducklings spill water the tray can easily become filled and spill over (and if the waterer/watering system springs a leak, forget about it, you now have a sewage lake on your floor.). Additionally, the tray sits so much lower than the cage floor that debris can fall out the sides. Again, much worse with ducklings because they **** out at an angle and it can shoot past the pan entirely at the edges. I would really love to see a MUCH deeper pan that comes all the way up to the cage floor to prevent overflow and block debris from leaving the brooder entirely.

I ordered these as "back ups" to my cage. Thought was that I could prep a spare/clean try, remove the soiled and quickly insert the newly prepped one so that the quail don't pool without a tray. It DOES work, don't get me wrong. I was just surprised they weren't the same size. Same length.....just about 2" longer on the width so more sticks out the front. Some reviews on the cage voiced that they WANTED wider trays....well, these are the ones to order. Myself, I would have preferred the same size the cage came with as they fit newspaper exactly. Now I have to overlap two layers to get it to fit the inside the wider tray. Still good quaility....just not what I expected.

Nice tray. Very "ridgid" (not at all flimsy). Would be nice if it was about 2" wider so it overhangs a bit and keeps stuff from the top tier from falling into the feeder on the tier below. Otherwise....nice. Does the job.

These trays are nice, they are sturdy, and thick. I would suggest cleaning them out every day to avoid over filled trays or heavy trays. They aren't the best when filled. One tray cracked on us after 3 months of use. We were scrapping off the droppings into a wheel barrel and the corner we were holding onto cracked. We contacted HT and they sent us a replacement. I'd like the option to buy deeper trays. Birds are messy with water and water mixed with droppings can get very gross when cleaning the trays. Would be great if they sold solid metal ones! Over all they are great for intended purpose!

Hello Hatch Time, I love your cage system. I have a four tier set-up. I've owned it for a little over a month. One problem I'm having is the manure tray is too narrow and allows manure to fall into the feed tray below. And must be cleaned on a daily basis. To avoid this could make the tray about 4 inches wider. So it catches the waste and doesn't contaminate the feed below. Thank you!! Dave

Decent product. Hard to put together. I would strongly suggest watching the YouTube video.

It has been a good first hutch for our quail, but when we expand I will purchase another hutch else where.

Very happy with my purchase. Installation videos are definitely helpful.

Makes weekly cleanup a breeze. Wouldn't want to be without a backup manure tray that's for sure!

Having extra makes cleaning trays easy. Quails produce A LOT of manure, so their trays have to be cleaned daily. All we have to do is scrape off manure. Rinse off leftover manure, scrubbed off tray with soap & bleach, then rinse and allow to air dry for use next day.

Bought an extra Manure Tray for our full layer cage set up and are glad we did. Makes clean up a snap because we pull out one of the full ones to clean and simply slip the fresh one in before the birds have a chance to make a mess!!

the tray should be slightly wider to keep droppings out of the food trays below, otherwise it's fine

Good idea for the tray, having an extra tray, great. I would like plastic parts to be more consistent, not warped. Everything shipped fast and arrived in good condition, no missing or damaged parts
