Colorful and genuinely herbal

Calendula, rose petals, and blue cornflower are easy to recognize in the mix. It looks and smells like real dried herbs, not scented filler.

Ten ounces lasts awhile

Because only a sprinkle is needed, the bag covers our four boxes repeatedly.

A pleasant nesting-box scent

Lavender and lemon balm are noticeable when the bag opens, but the aroma is not artificial or sharp.

Nice addition for broody hens

Our broody hen settled back onto her nest after we refreshed the bedding with a small amount. The box remained calm-smelling during a warm week.

Hens did not hesitate

We sprinkled the blend over fresh nesting material and the regular layers returned immediately. Nothing about the new scent seemed to bother them.

Freshens between cleanouts
