Great customer service! Easy to swap out!
Assembly process was very straightforward, but I highly recommend watching the assembly video on YouTube. These cages are much more stable than you would expect and being able to roll them for cleaning is amazing!
This has been the perfect addition to my quail set up. I love the covered feed tray. I can pour food thru the plastic grill which is very helpful in preventing the small quail from escaping. Thanks hatching time.
We have two of these incubators and absolutely love them! Completely hands off approach to hatching babies. The auto humidifier is my favorite part and really cool to watch. Takes 7 seconds to get back to temp and humidity when you open the door to get chicks out or switch eggs into baskets. Amazing as is but adding bigger windows and wheels would take this incubator up to maximum perfectness
I've had the brooder up and running for almost two weeks, and the temperature has been very stable. I'll be putting hatchlings in soon!
When I decided to get into the quail business I knew I needed a brooder, so I did my research and settled on the 9.5 inch layer addition brooder from Hatching Time. It has everything you need right out of the box.
You get what you pay for.
I’m glad I chose this brooder.
I use these metal rods to make the floor of my build cages more stable and they work perfectly I recommend them.
I bought these by itself to raise the cages so the last layer won’t be so low and it work perfectly so now my cages are not to low to the floors
So far very happy with this set up. It shipped very fast and has everything you need to get started.Have over 90 quail chicks in it now & have only lost 1. It came boxed well & in good condition again with everything needed except good instructions. That's where you must watch the videos that they will send you. If you follow them it goes together in no time and their customer support is very good if you need help.Again "watch the videos" for assembly. Some folks have said that pieces are a little warped, and they are, but warming them up in the in the sun for a bit helps greatly. I am going to give it 5 stars but a few minor problems 1) in the box instructions bad, 2)wish the doors were a little bit taller to make access easier 3) ventilation could be a problem in hot areas but have been told can replace some pannels if you feel they are needed. Overall very happy with the unit & the customer support is great. Would recommend it to anyone for a go to complete brooder. Hope this helps answer any questions on it. Thks HT
Love it! Convenient especially for cleaning w/the trays. Bottom layer should be slilghtly higher though for people who can't get down low.
I was looking around on the web for a chicken plucker after checking out many models and reviews. I order a large plucker from Hatchingtime I like the fact the motor is enclosed and the switch is on the side for easy access. It arrived in 2 days the only issue I had was that the barrel was cracked it looked like the shipping company ran a forklift into the box. I contacted Hatchingtime sent the pictures of the box and the barrel and I had a new barrel in less than a week. I haven’t used it yet but I will fill you in when I use it.
Awesome incubator. On my second batch of pheasants and I've never had this high of a hatch percentage in my other incubators.
This product is by far the best overall system you can purchase for rearing Quail from hatch to process. You can have a brooder, grow-out and breeder setup all in the same rack with a very small foot print. The brooder is my favorite as the automatic heater makes caring for hatchlings a breeze. For the 1st week I've had around 50 quail chicks in one layer without issue. Cleaning is also very easy, no rust or rotting wood to worry about. The initial investment is worth it as these cages will last me a very long time. Hatching time customer service is also on point. If its in stock, they will ship it to you immediately, unlike the competition which could take weeks. Overall I'm very very pleased with my purchases.
I love it. 1-2 prices were bent and I’m still in the process of putting it together to fit the right slot. Thanks for the order.
I’ve been raising my own chicks for awhile. I’ve tried water troughs, cages, boxes, stainless steel tubs, you name it! Always nervous about using the heat lamps (even when they were zip tied or duct taped to not fall down). My Hatching Time brooder is awesome! I like that it’s worry free. The only complaint is that there’s no on/off light switch (which they’re working on).
I use paper towels or newspaper to line the bottom for the first few weeks to make clean up easier on the young chicks. Will be running chicks through this easy system all summer long!
