Quail Egg Rack - Attaches to Conturn Egg Setter

Holds my tiny celadon and Italian eggs perfectly.

I raise button quail and even this rack seems like it will keep thin in place. I’m excited to use it. If the smaller eggs fall through the middle of the white conturn rack, I’ll place some thing there maybe like a paper towel. But so far so good. I think the eggs will stay in place.

Firstly my order arrived late, broken, and missing parts. Upon arrival, the box was beaten up by Fedex. When opening the box, nothing was wrapped up or secured in the box. Everything was just stacked in the box with no padding. One of my turners were missing a red piece that connects on the turner motor to the turner arm. The black rack for the turners was broken at it's legs. And I was missing 2 of the quail egg rails. I ordered the 12 set rails. Everything in this bundle is 3D printed. It's all cheap plastic, but works as intended to a certain extent.
The fitting of the eggs sucks. Almost all my quail eggs don't fit in their quail rails. These are standard coturnix quails, not even jumbos! You cant put a quail egg in each slot and expect them to fit properly. I'm overall very disappointed in this purchase. This would be a great buy if the fitting of the eggs actually fit properly. I ended up throwing the quail egg rails in a box for storage because I can't use them unless I space the eggs out wide which takes you from 13 eggs in a rail to only 7 eggs in a rail. And even that is if your eggs will sit in the small rails enough not to be jolted out of the rails when the turner starts moving. Another issue with the quail rails is that they loosely sit into the white rails. They don't clip or snap into place. Just sit, and they slide a bit when the motor turns them. This causes more jolting to the eggs. I'll had 6 eggs fall out of the turners. I only bought this setup to mass hatch quails and chicken eggs. But sadly the amount of eggs I can actually hatch in this setup is roughly 1/3 of the eggs listed capacity.

Most of my jumbo coturnix eggs fit ok. Had a few that were crowded thou.

These rails fit standard quail eggs nicely. Jumbo eggs will need to be spaced out more. Button quail eggs seem just a bit too small. It'll hold them, but my button quail eggs tend to be on the smaller side making the tips of the eggs hang too low in the tray.

This quail egg rack is a huge upgrade for anyone hatching quail eggs! Before, some of my smaller quail eggs would slip through the regular chicken egg slots, which was a hassle. Now, with this dedicated rack, the eggs sit securely without touching each other, which I think also helps with hygiene. Plus, I can fit a lot more eggs at once, and it just looks and feels more organized. Great investment for anyone raising quail!

Working good so far

I bought the large model of the incubator and it's an AMAZING machine! I have owned many incubators in my lifetime and this one tops them all. Super nice machine.

Will hold most. Some of the jumbo eggs will not fit, so you have to skip holders to use them. Overall good though.

Ordered the quail rails for the conturn 120 egg turners for my DIY incubator. They will work well to increase egg capacity.

Theses racks are great for regular coturnix size eggs. If you want to hatch jumbos eggs you'll have to space the eggs out to every other one.
If you want to hatch tiny eggs like button quail you have to put something into the rack holes to hold the eggs in place, I used a shelve lines material.
Otherwise the rack gets the job done.

This quail eggs racks work with standard quail eggs (less than 12g/egg). Bigger than that would be Jumbo quail eggs and I have to buy the rack at Esty site. Wish HT has the racks for Jumbo too. Thank you anyway!

I bought this not fully reading the description. I got caught in the excitement of hatching surplus quails for meat and eggs. I didn't read only small/standard eggs would fit. I raise jumbos and even my standard hens lay larger eggs. These rails are perfect for new laying birds because their eggs would be smaller. With larger ones, you just have to space farther apart. I really like these rails. As others have stated I wish they didn't just rest in the chicken rails. But for the quality and price they are well worth the money. We like how easy it is to clean them too. Simply spray hot water let soak them wash off.

We love how the celadon eggs fit. We have higher hatch rates due to the gentleness of these turners. One of our turners was kinda jolting or shaking the eggs in turner. We found out that the rack hold the turners was slightly warped. We fixed the warped issue and now perfectly calm turning!
The rails just sit in the turner. It worries me.
I'd love it if they clipped onto the turner.
