Chick Brooder - 4 Layer H: 15"

I have had chicks die in this because of all the holes and places to get trapped. They fall apart. They are not sturdy. The heaters will burn you and the chicks if you touch them. They are cheaply made. They are super difficult to put together with picture instructions that make no sense. The water system leaks if you don’t take additional steps not listen in the instructions. You can also find these on Alibaba.com for half the price with shipping. So it’s cheap, doesn’t work , kills chicks and prices at 2x what it is from the manufacturer on this site.

I bought the 4-layer 15” brooders for my growing poultry business. I was limited on space and the stacking ability of the Hatching Time brooders allowed me to utilize more square footage. But I didn’t realize how better off my chicks were until after actually using the brooders.
I absolutely love every feature in these brooders. Automatic waters mean I’m not constantly changing waters. A drop pan floor means no shavings to deal with, no shavings in water or food either. Plus, cleanup is so much easier with the slide out pan- just dump and put back (get an extra if you want to scrub clean everyday). The heating element in these keeps the brooders at a nice ambient temperature, so no hot or cold spots- though there is warmer or cooler areas if the chicks want to self regulate. Plus the heaters are thermostatically controlled, so if the room gets warm, the heaters will shut off. Bonus- the heaters use less energy than a heat lamp!!
My chicks have never been healthier since I got my Hatching Time brooders. This system is hands down the best investment anyone can make if they’re wanting to raise happy, healthy chicks.

When all that you have to go by initially is watching a video, you’re left with the question of quality and functionality.
I assure anyone out there like myself that may sit on the fence a minute, wondering if I should purchase this brooder….. you should DO IT!!
You think: PLASTIC, how nice can that be? It’s deceptively higher quality than you may think. Very well designed, and I anticipate using it for a long long time.
I had a couple of small issues that occurred DURING SHIPPING. I emailed the company, and WITHIN MINUTES I had an email notifying me that replacement parts were in transit. Customer service is/was spectacular!
I will surely purchase additional products, and highly recommend the company and it’s products!!!!

Every part of this has broken.

I was skeptical at first when I purchased this brooder but didn't take me long to see that it is a game changer in the care of my chicks once they hatch. No more expensive power bills from all the heat lamps. I have to say this brooder is simply amazing and a real game changer. It is also very easy to keep clean unlike my homemade brooders. Would absolutely recommend this brooder to anyone. Well worth every penny.

We've been using this unit for about four months now and it's made brooding a much easier task! No more tubs, heat lamps and concerns about airflow or temperature! If you don't have one yet, get one now!

These brooders are perfect for my needs. I brood inside and these look nice, they are easy to clean and maintain. My only complaint, which is no fault of hatching time, is that a 4 stack is TALL and I struggle to reach the top layer.

I have chicks hatching from one of hatching times incubators soon and I can't wait to see the chicks use their home.

Let me start off by saying I love the brooder, keeps the chicks -- particularly bantams warm and clean.
The watering system was a bit of a pain to get going without leaks, however now we have messed with it enough to get the leaking to stop it works great.
The watering cups intended to be used before the auto water system that come with the chick brooder should be larger -- these small ones work fine for the quail brooder but the chickens drink so much more. I just ended up removing the cups on the auto drinkers and teaching the young chicks to use the nipple instead. (They aren't tall enough yet for the cup attachments) Same for the feeder dishes -- great for quail but too small for chickens. I ended up using my own feeding troughs until the chicks are big enough to use the outside feeder.
In the end, the brooder is great despite the couple annoyances. We love hatching time products. We use 6 of the quail breeding cages, A quail brooder -- now the chicken brooder and we have the XL turkey plucker. Wonderful customer service for all products.

I got this last year to try and I have used this for emu chicks all the way down to quail chicks. Easy to assemble and clean.

I love the idea of the product but it has flaws. The water gqs been a constant issue. We've had to replace multiple cups because it floats and overflows which fills the **** tray with water and makes it nearly impossible to empty without spilling **** water all over the ground. We've also had the nipple in the waterer randomly start dripping nonstop with no explanation. There is no water shut off valve so all levels always hold watee and you cant disconnext the top container to clean it without water pouring out. Also the hose will crack from taking it on and off. the water reservoir doesn't actually have a spot on top so I have to have someone hold it any told I want to move the broosee which isn't easy. The feeding trays work well. The light doesn't have a separate on off switch so I have to unscrew the hot bulbs to turn it off or also turn off the heaters. The heaters hang down into the 15" so my chickens had to duck down during their last 10 days in the brooder, overall the first day I set it up I wanted to return it but was informed there are no refunds or returns. Waste of $1000.

Purchased a 4-level 15” brooder. Received a 3-level, but didn’t realize it until 3 months after receiving because we didn’t open it immediately and then my husband set it up and I didn’t find out until a month after. By then, the packaging was destroyed so I couldn’t prove what we got and was dealing with cancer treatment so wasn’t able to get the additional photos I was asked to send in. That’s my fault, just disappointed in paying for the extra level that we never got.

Either way, it worked great for what we needed initially, though I would seriously reconsider using it for larger flocks again. We were raising meat birds and laying hens. The 10 laying hens did great and turned out healthy, though they were covered in poo constantly as the trays didn’t really allow them to walk away from it, like they can outside.

The meat birds, on the other hand—-we got two flocks of 25, 10 weeks apart. We split them in the levels of the brooder so they had more room, 8-9 birds in each level. We then moved the first flock outside at 6-8 weeks, so they should have had AMPLE room. We lost 4 in the first flock because they were trampled due to not enough room in that 6-8 week range. The second flock, we moved out at 6 weeks, hoping to avoid losses. Unfortunately, we still lost a total of 7 between the 3 levels because they were trampled over that 6 weeks. Very disappointed that 8-9 birds in each level could not safely live in a brooder level that is advertised to hold more than 3 times that much.

All of that said, the feeders are awesome as they allowed us to free-feed the birds and ensure they always had what they needed. We also liked the ease of the watering system and the fact that we could spray down the brooder between flocks, as well as pull out the trays to clean while in use.

After all of the losses, we decided to go a different route if we raise meat birds again next year. We will not be using this brooding system again, but did keep the lights and watering system for use in another setup.

This is my first year with a Hatchingtime Brooder. The thought-through details of the system are incredible. I also have another brooding system that is very popular. Based on my experience to date, feed waste with the Hatchingtime system is minimal, especially when compared to the waste of my old system. Chicks are healthy and happy. Assembly takes some time with the Hatchingtime unit. I did it by myself, so it is quite doable…just match the arrows! Be patient, because you will get back that assembly time very quickly with the ease of care.

Love the size and set up of my brooders. I placed Bluetooth thermometers in each brooder to keep an eye on temps. The heaters are very difficult to regulate. Without changing the temp on the thermostat at all, I’ve had an individual brooder drop or rise 15+ degrees, leaving my chicks cold or panting. When I switched from the small feeders and waterers to the large tray and self- watering system, the feeding trays work great, but the water overflowed into the pans. It was very difficult to get the pans out of the brooder to clean them without spilling **** water everywhere. Not sure how to keep the cups from overfilling. It’s a great idea, just not working correctly for me.

Nice design. Bottom level is not warm enough for new chicks in winter if your brooding room is drafty. Small feeders for new chicks are a waste of time if you are doing this on scale.

honestly, the heating system is the best part with finely controlled layers. I found the plastic to be a bit warped by shipping, but it didn't prevent any of the brooder from going together properly. My main gripe is with the watering system, since by the time it arrived two of the little push spigots were broken (and one will flood the entire tray beneath with water -- ask me how I know). I wouldn't let this stop you from buying it though, since I have found other small plastic waterers for cheap at my farm and home store. Overall a very good brooder, my baby chicks seem happy. I ordered another one since I really want to get my operation going.

This is my second purchase and I couldn't be happier getting ready to make my 3rd purchase soon! Easy to put together its literally like a puzzle and the pieces just snap together its that simple!!

I love this brooder. The print instructions are a bit confusing, but the video instruction was perfect. My daughter and I were able to put the brroder together in less than an hour.

The Cimuka 5 tier brooder has NOT been all it is lived up to be. I have had so many issues starting with broken items when shipped, pieces missing, and when assembled after 4 hrs or longer, the doors break easily, heater melts the plastic where it sits on, feed trays don't always fit, then to top it off the waterers work randomly. I have had a lot of issues with the watering system that one day I returned home after filling the water trough only to find it leaked onto the manure tray. If you want something great and reliable DO NOT BUY this product. They are manufactured using the cheapest materials. Overllall rating 1 out of 10! Go buy quality at the extra expense.
